StayWell Hospitality Group (SWHG), the owner and operator of the Leisure Inn and Park Regis brands, today announced the launch of the newly refurbished rooms at Park Regis City Quays located in central Cairns.

50 guest rooms have been given a facelift to the total value of around $200,000, bringing the superior accommodation experience already offered at Park Regis City Quays to an enhanced level.

Studio, One and Two Bedroom Apartments have been refurbished with new beds and bedding as well as new desk/work areas, DVD/clock radio/iPod dock stereo units and high definition LCD TVs. This adds to the existing modern features which include large balconies, air-conditioning, kitchen and laundry facilities (apartments) and broadband internet access. The hotel also offers a rooftop swimming pool, BBQ and sundeck area, secure undercover parking and tour desk.

The refurbishment at Park Regis City Quays is in recognition of strong customer demands within the highly competitive Cairns accommodation market as well as keeping with SWHG's aim to offer unmatched value for money for all its guests. The hotel prides itself on its modern features and facilities and convenient central Cairns location, a few moments to Cairns' famed Esplanade and opposite Cairns Convention Centre.

SWHG has also undertaken a progressive upgrade across all hotels with a total value of approximately $2million. The result of these upgrades is a marked improvement of each product and overall experience of hotel guests. Works undertaken include refurbishment of guest rooms at Park Regis Anchorage in Townsville; a lobby facelift at Park Regis Concierge Apartments in Sydney; moderate to extensive restaurant upgrades at Leisure Inn Plaza Hotel in Townsville, Park Regis North Quay in Brisbane and Park Regis Griffin Suites in Melbourne; and the recent launch at Park Regis City Centre, also in Sydney, of its new, sophisticated guest room type - Park Suites.

SWHG's portfolio currently includes locations in Australian capital cities - Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Hobart as well as regional areas such as Launceston, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains, Cairns and Townsville. Park Regis Singapore is also under development, with completion expected in late 2009. Other international locations have also recently been announced including New Zealand and Morocco.
